Join our Executive leadership team as a Director of Finance
You will be a credible, resilient, and visionary financial leader with substantial experience of either working in complex organisations at Board level or senior system leadership experience within a regulatory environment.
Welcome
Thank you for your interest in joining our organisation and for taking the time to read through this information.
NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire was formed in July 2022. The Integrated Care System (ICS) is a partnership and collaboration that brings together NHS services, local authorities and other local partners across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to collectively plan and deliver joined up health and care services to improve the lives of our population.
More citizens than ever need care in a range of settings, including at home, in hospital and in the community. However, care across different settings is often poorly coordinated and inefficient, leading to disjointed services that can be of variable quality. By working together as a whole system, we can address these issues and improve care for all citizens..
I am looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our Executive leadership team. We want to attract a credible, resilient, and visionary financial leader with substantial experience of either working in complex organisations at Board level or senior system leadership experience within a regulatory environment. Adept at building sustained and inclusive relationships in challenging environments, you will have a track record of achieving change through empowering others and bring a focus on continuously seeking improvement in outcomes whilst delivering value for money through innovation. Developing a system-wide integrated leadership approach to financial strategy, strategic commissioning and transformational change, you will work with partners to develop and deliver the NHS long term plan aimed at improving clinical outcomes, achieving better life outcomes and reducing health inequalities.
Bringing a compassionate leadership style to support our staff and inclusive culture, you will support the development of our place partnerships and provider collaborations at scale working with partners, clinicians, other staff groups and local people. Nottingham and Nottinghamshire is a diverse region with vibrant urban areas as well as significant rural landscape. Whilst we have made significant progress as a system there is much more that we need to do to tackle health inequalities. Life expectancy in our populations is lower than the national average with a significant gap in health life expectancy between the most and least deprived areas. Our model of care focuses on looking after people in their home or local area so they get the targeted care needed to get better more quickly, instead of concentrating on providing services from specific buildings. At the heart of joining up care is to preventing people from getting ill in the first place, by creating strong and vibrant communities; helping people them take good care of themselves and be able to deal with issues before they become bigger problems.
If you have a track record of senior level financial leadership with substantial experience in a complex highly regulated, public facing organisation and a passion for transformation and collaborative then I would be delighted to hear from you. For a confidential discussion, please contact Julia St Clare, our advising consultant from GatenbySanderson on 07807 631564.
I look forward to meeting you during the process
